ZOOM VIDEO CONFERENCING: TRAINING

Zoom is the Dioceseʻs platform of choice when communicating online with a group requiring interaction and discussion. Itʻs a great way for people to hold meetings, conduct Bible Study, or pray together.  Not only is it a convenient tool, but video conferencing saves time and money! Users can connect through a cell phone, tablet or computer. A quick download of the app, a link shared by the host, and you are set to go!   

Below are the latest Zoom training videos prepared for the Diocese's Annual Meeting of Convention in 2021.  These training videos may also be helpful for churches using Zoom for their annual meetings that require polling or "voting." The Zoom platform is constantly being updated, so it is important to have all users download the latest updates and features for best results. Visit the Zoom website HERE to learn more. Zoom Training in the Diocese

In preparation for the 53rd Annual Meeting of Convention that was held entirely online, the Diocesan Support Center hosted three training sessions on Zoom geared towards specific devices. Those sessions were recorded and are posted below.  Also included are the slideshows to go with each training session.

SESSION #1:  Desktop & Laptop Computers:
The first training session took place on Tuesday, October 5, and covered using Zoom on a desktop or laptop.

Welcome Video

Prior to the start of the Annual Meeting, a short 5-minute welcome video was shown on a loop that contained helpful tips and reminders for using Zoom and the procedures of the meeting.
