OUTREACH MINISTRIES

Churches throughout the Diocese have some of the largest outreach ministries in their communities that include serving meals, providing food pantries, showers, laundry service, and tutoring, to name a few.  They form partnerships with other organizations to provide temporary housing and essential services to families and those in need.  Most of our churches also serve as a safe place for support groups to meet, and there are a number of thrift shops that work hand-in-hand with their other ministries. Visit the Community Calendar page HERE that includes a listing with some of the outreach activities taking place in your neighborhood.  We also offer a listing of Outreach Resources on the bottom of this page.

COVID-19 Heroes in our Communities!

During this time of social distancing, folks throughout the Diocese continue to serve others in need.
St. James' & St. Columba's congregations serve up hundreds of meals each week. Although they usually enjoy weekly gatherings, COVID-19 hasn't deterred getting food out through drive through!
Churches and schools around the Diocese continue to serve those in need, including making face shields and masks for our first responders!
St. Stephen's and the Prison Ministry is busier than ever with their food pantry, clothing drive for inmates, and thrift store. They welcome donations of all kinds.
