2025 CLERGY PILGRIMAGE ON O'AHU
​February 11 ~ 13, 2025

Clergy in the Diocese are invited to attend a "pilgrimage" on O'ahu, February 11-13, 2025. The original plan for a clergy pilgrimage to the Holy Land, was reconsidered some time ago, especially with the turn of volatile world events, rising costs, and other factors. The "pilgrimage" will now be held on O'ahu, with lodging at the St. Anthony Retreat Center, the site of numerous Diocesan gatherings prior to Covid, including the monthly classes for the Waiolaihui'ia formation program. Its lush and tranquil surroundings will set the tone for a very special gathering.  

Some of the activities will include visiting the massive  ‘Umeke Lā'au project with Meleanna Meyer before it opens at Honolulu Hale (see her Instagram post HERE); viewing local films and meeting the filmmakers, a visit to 'Iolani Palace, and exploration of the plantation roots of so many of our Hawai'i community.

​Pilgrimage ends at 12:00 PM

A Special Note from Meleanna Meyer:  

"Please offer prayers for the ongoing healing not only of the Hawaiian community, but of the broader community and the world as this is a calabash that is meant to be a place where this kind of spiritual work is done. The focus of our prayer must begin with doing our own good work!"

Ms. Meyers is also requesting to bring fresh waters from your "places" (hoping for clean rivers, or streams) but whatever is available to you. This is for ceremony.

INTERISLAND TRAVEL

The Diocese will cover interisland air travel expenses for clergy attending the Pilgrimage from neighbor islands.  All covered flights must be booked through the Diocesan Travel Coordinator.
