Chrism Mass & Theology Day

The Chrism Mass will be at 9:00 a.m.

At the Chrism Mass, there will be renewal of ordination vows and oils of Chrism for Baptism, of the Catechumenate, and of Unction for healing will be blessed.  Plastic containers and Ziploc bags suitable for TSA requirements will be provided for clergy to carry the oils back to their congregations.

Theology Continuing Education Day will be at 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

The Rev. Dr. Wil Gafney will be speaker of the day.  Dr. Gafney is an Associate Professor of Hebrew and Old Testament at The Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia.  She is an ordained Episcopal priest and a former U.S. Army Reserve Chaplain.

Lunch will be provided.

The Office of the Bishop will cover airfare for neighbor-island clergy.  To register for this event, click here.
