Planning for Tomorrow & Enriching Your Retirement

The 2010 Planning for Tomorrow (for clergy not yet retired) and Enriching Your Retirement (for those already retired and surviving spouses) conference will be on November 5–6, 2010. This conference is sponsored and presented by the Church Pension Fund. It begins at 9:00 a.m. on Friday and ends after lunch on Saturday. Spouses and partners are encouraged to attend also.

The cost is heavily subsidized by the Pension Fund. The cost to clergy for the Planning for Tomorrow conference, accommodation at the Prince Kuhio Hotel, and all meals is $75 per person or $100 per couple. Airfare, parking, and childcare is paid for. All are encouraged to stay at the hotel, including clergy who live on O‘ahu.

There is no cost to participants for the Enriching Your Retirement conference.

Planning For Tomorrow topics include life and financial planning (taxes, savings, investments), government benefits (Social Security, Medicare), and wellness issues (health tips and medical coverage updates from the Medical Trust). Participants may request individual life-planning consultations with conference faculty.

Enriching Your Retirement topics include life and financial planning (in your retirement years), government benefits (Social Security, Medicare), identity issues (how your sense of self has changed with retirement), and wellness issues (health tips and medical coverage updates from the Medical Trust).
 
Invitations will be mailed eight weeks prior, and the reminder follow-up letters will be mailed six weeks prior. However, participants can pre-register for either of the conferences by going to the Pension Fund's site for the conference.
