2011 Annual Clergy Retreat
September 25, 2011 4:00 pm - September 27, 2011 2:00 pm at Camp Mokule'ia
2011 ANNUAL CLERGY RETREAT
Dates: September 25 - 27, 2011
Place: Camp Mokule'ia
Theme: St. Francis: Model of Human IndividuationFor many people, Saint Francis is just a statue in the garden, a strange man who spoke to animals and birds! But the real Francis was a profoundly spiritual and deeply human man. He loved the whole of the creation. In this retreat, we shall look at Francis the person. We shall, using the psychology of Jung, see how Francis challenges us all to grow psychologically (individuate) and see how he helps us face the challenges of ministry in the Church.
Leader: Brother Jude
Brother Jude has been a Franciscan friar for almost 33 years. He was born and lived in England until he was transferred by the community to the United States in 1989. He has worked as a retreat conductor, spiritual director, and facilitator for many years. He studied at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, and undertook his Analyticial Training in London. He currently practices part-tme as an analyst. He was elected the Minister Provincial (Superior) of the American Province in 2005, and is responsible for its houses in North and South America. He was ordained a priest in 2005, and is an Associate Priest at the Church of the Advent of Christ the King in San Francisco.
Brother Jude will also be available to participants if anyone wishes to talk or make confession.
